The wonderfully eccentric Spanner Big Band treats audiences with an electrifying performance of classic numbers, originals and pop renditions. Directed by the charismatic Dan Spanner, this 16 piece ensemble offers an explosive combination of jazz virtuosity and rock’n’roll attitude! Formed in 2006, the band play regular gigs, choosing not to rehearse but to hone new music in front of an audience. Current residencies are at The Three Compasses in Hornsey, North London (fortnightly) and Jamboree in Kings Cross (bi-monthly). Past residencies include: Tufnells, The Cross Kings, Kings Cross Social Club, The Boston Arms, Cottons, ‘Round Midnight and The Gunners.
