Psychedelic modal improvisations over rocky dance grooves… punk trance… with heavily affected sax and ‘out there’ poetry… not really like anything else…

The Dan Spanner Trio has played a series of electrifying gigs in recent years, culminating with the release of the debut album, “Double Trouble”.

Veteran sax player Dan Spanner toured with Circus Archaos in the 1990s followed by the creation of the Spannerman performance band with a show that included aerial stunts with saxophone, trapeze, comedy and magic. Dan currently fronts a number of other ensembles: The Spanner Big Band (16-piece jazz orchestra), Spanner Jazz Punks (psychedelic performance art), Spanner Trouvères (mediaeval troubadours) and ambient sound project, Eddy Whirls.
